‘We want to
see where this experience takes us, emotionally and spiritually’

This
year our summer holiday will be a little different! In August we plan to follow
the route taken by the Apostle James on his pilgrimage to Santiago de
Compostela, a total journey of some 500 miles (of which we hope to complete
around half this year.)
Having
spoken to others and read about the film ‘The Way’ we know that it has the
potential to be a life-changing experience.
This will certainly take us out of our comfort zone as we will not know
where we are sleeping from one day to the next and will be hoping to stay in
refuges along the way.
We
are inspired to do this firstly because it is a major challenge to us
personally and secondly because it is an opportunity to raise money for two
very important causes – Brain Tumour Research, which desperately needs funding
to improve 5 year survival rates and St James’ Church Cardington, especially to
help sustain its rare and wonderful tradition of choral services.
We
hope you will be encouraged to sponsor our challenge to help one or more of
these worthy causes (please click on the link below for details)
